InterContinental Yao Yai Resort set for 2020 opening in Thailand

InterContinental Hotels Group has announced a signing agreement with Soraya Development Company to develop the InterContinental Yao Yai Resort, bringing true luxury to Phang Nga BayÔÇÖs largest island.

Scheduled to open in early 2020, the new-built 170-key InterContinental Yao Yai Resort will offer four main room categories, including 72-square-metre ocean view rooms, one of which is a suite offering panoramic views on the top floor, complete with plunge pool, plus rooms and suites in a family-designated buildings featuring water slides, pool access and the Planet Trekkers Programme. In addition, guests can choose from tropical villas ÔÇô 18 one-bedroom units situated on the lagoon and creeks ÔÇô and beachfront pool villas ÔÇô comprising 10 one-bedroom, one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom unit that each boast unblocked ocean views.

The property will feature three restaurant and bar outlets, a gym, pool, spa and resort centre, a Water Facilities Centre, high-end transfers to and from the hotel, as well as meeting facilities and wedding arrangements. Special occasions can also be arranged at the private sandbank during low tide periods. The hotel will be situated half an hour from Phuket and Krabi airports as well as Phuket and Krabi private piers, and just 700 metres from Bird-Nest Island and Phang Nga Island.
