Destination Updates

Sri Lanka to re-open its borders on 21 January 2021

Share

Following the previous update regarding plans to reinstate Travel in Sri Lanka on 21 January 2021, an official communique of safety protocols has been released by Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) as a guideline for travellers who are planning to visit Sri Lanka. It can be accessed HERE.

We’ll keep you updated when a new tourism application is launched and incorporated into an online immigration application, however, until the new online process is fully implemented, a PCR test and insurance payment is required to be made directly with an airline or hotel when making a booking.

Diethelm Travel Sri Lanka was also awarded the ÔÇÿSafe and Secure Tourism ÔÇô Certificate of ComplianceÔÇÖ from KPMG Sri Lanka. Please click HERE for the SLTDA registration number provided to Diethelm Travel Sri Lanka and to view the Level 1 ÔÇÿSafe and SecureÔÇÖ certified hotels.

We will continue to keep you informed on further update.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at sales@lk.diethelmtravel.com should you require further details or direct your tour inquiries to one of our Travel Designers listed below:

Best regards,
