The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) together with Chaiyaphum province is hosting the Krachiao Blooming Festival 2018 for four months, from 1 June to 30 September, at Pa Hin Ngam National Park in Thep Sathit district and Sai Thong National Park in Nong Bua Ra Haew district.

The Siam Tulip, or Dok Krachiao, flower comes into full bloom in the early part of the rainy season from June to August. During these months, the fields of Pa Hin Ngam National Park in Thep Sathit district and Sai Thong National Park in Nong Bua Ra Haew district will be blanketed with the exceptional beauty of these pinkish-purple flowers.

Every year, Chaiyaphum province in cooperation with the TAT join together to organise a range of fun-filled activities including special sightseeing tours to see the fields of the pinkish Krachiao flowers and the rock garden, live music performances, trekking tours in the two National Parks, and also a local fair selling indigenous products.

As well as the Krachiao flowers, there are many other amazing attractions in Pa Hin Ngam National Park, including ÔÇÿSut PhaendinÔÇÖ, a steep cliff viewpoint that connects the Northeast to the Central Region, and a couple of medium-sized waterfalls ÔÇô Namtok Thep Prathan and Namtok Thep Phanom.

Meanwhile, Sai Thong National Park is also known for its Sai Thong Waterfall, where a stream cascades down rocks from a height of about 100 metres from top to bottom.

Last but not least, Chaiyaphum is also famous for its Mor Hin Khao, which is also known as the Stonehenge of Thailand. Located in Phu Laenkha National Park, the place boasts several beautiful stone sculptures created by nature.
