Thailand is basking in the glory of another award-filled week after winning the ÔÇÿDestination of the YearÔÇÿ award at the 29th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2018 held at Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre.

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications Mr. Tanes Petsuwan said the TAT was delighted to again be recognised by the regionÔÇÖs leading and longest-running travel agent awards.

TTGÔÇÖs editorial panel singled out the TATÔÇÖs ÔÇÿAmazing Thailand Go LocalÔÇÿ initiative as a driving force behind the award.

The campaign included an action-packed schedule of unique Thai local experiences and a marquee of international events during 2018. It specialised in daily lifestyle interactions with Thai local communities around Bangkok and out to the far corners of the Kingdom.

This special honour, which falls under the Outstanding Achievement Awards category, is presented to the regionÔÇÖs most outstanding destination. Thailand has distinguished itself this year by topping the charts in arrivals, its savvy marketing, and its initiatives towards the development and promotion of the travel industry.
