An Overview of Your Adventure
DAY 1: Explore the beautiful Cordilleras of Baguio explore the rich culture of the region. Visit the Museum of Baguio to learn about the area’s history and culture. Camp John Hay and the Mansion House are great places to visit, as well as Burnham Park. Stop by the Public Market, where you can get a glimpse into the culture of the mountain communities as they trade and sell their goods.
DAY 2: Head to Kabayan to see the ancient mummies of Ibaloi hidden in caves, and take a look at the Burial Rock where the high rock openings acted as tombs. After that, make a quick stop at the Kabayan Museum where you’ll find an amazing collection of antique stuff and an Ibaloi mummy! Then, make your way to the top of Mount Timbak where you’ll be able to take in the panoramic views of terraced lands and villages, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the mummies being carefully guarded in a cave.
DAY 3: Start your Sagada adventure with a breathtaking view from Madongo village, then take a 2-hour hike to Bomodok falls for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear water. Learn about the local culture with a visit to Lumiang’s ‘Burial Cave’, the Hanging Coffins in Echo Valley, or the chance to meet the local artisans – all while feeling the serenity of the mountain. Watch the sun dip below Lake Danum and soak up the beauty of Sagada’s highland.
DAY 4: Take a drive through the high mountain passes that overlook the Cordilleras and make your way to Cervantes. Along the way, you’ll pass through deep valleys and canyons, and then the highway will take you to charming agricultural towns. When you get to Vigan, you’ll be welcomed by the Abra River, which has a beautiful bell tower that you can see from a mile away.
DAY 5: Experience Vigan’s rich history and culture on a 45-minute boat ride criuse down Mestizo River that has been a major part of the city’s cultural and economic growth since the colonial days. As you soak up the stories of the past, you’ll also get to witness the daily life of the people living along the riverbank. Take a stroll through the cobblestone streets of Mena Crisologo, which are lined with colonial buildings, and check out the Cathedral, Plaza Burgos, and Syquia mansion.
DAY 6: Begin your 7-hour trip to Tarlac by stopping at Santa Maria to see the beautiful Church of the Assumption. It’s a lovely Baroque church perched on a hill, giving it the appearance of a medieval fort. Visit the Clark Museum to discover more about Tarlac and how it shaped the country’s history.
DAY 7: Early breakfast and check-out, make your way to Pinatubo Development Centre in Pampanga, where youÔÇÖll start your journey to the Mt. Pinatubo crater while onboard on an exciting 4×4 ride thatÔÇÖll take you to the base area. YouÔÇÖll finish your hike, spend some time at the crater and enjoy your packed lunch before heading back to Manila. Arrive in Manila early evening.
