Shiyi Tay Joins Leading DMC to Focus on Integrating Additional Digital Workflows and Services to Further Support Global Agents
SINGAPORE ÔÇô 20 July 2020 ÔÇô Diethelm Travel Group (DTG), an award-winning inbound tour operator servicing Asia, today announced Shiyi Tay as Diethelm Travel SingaporeÔÇÖs new general manager. Shiyi will concentrate on further implementing SingaporeÔÇÖs digital workflows and online services, giving agents increased access to the best dynamic rates and individual assistance from the experienced Diethelm Travel team.
With more than 15 years working in SingaporeÔÇÖs tourism and hospitality industry, Shiyi has a proven track record and brings a wealth of experience to the role, ranging from her early days directly interacting with travellers by handling bespoke travel arrangements to becoming an expert in travel business technologies that help streamline workflows while better supporting clients and travellers. Shiyi most recently served as Business Planning Manager at Tour East Group Headquarters where she led a team that implemented the Tourplan NX connected travel management systems across all offices to support the global inbound business. Prior to that, Shiyi was the companyÔÇÖs Business System Manager in charge of API-related matters and system upgrades. In addition to her technology experience, Shiyi also previously served as product development manager, focusing on product development and procurement.
Shiyi will take over management duties from Judy Lum, who is retiring after nearly three decades in the industry and four years serving as Diethelm Travel SingaporeÔÇÖs general manager. Yvonne Wong, who has been Diethelm Travel SingaporeÔÇÖs business consultant, will also be retiring at the same time.┬á┬á
